Highbanks: a new place to celebrate

We're thrilled to spread the word about a brand-new gem on the tri-state wedding scene: Highbanks, a modern event venue nestled among the trees and overlooking a serene lake at 4737 N Co Rd 575 E, Petersburg, IN 47567. Founded by Grant and Jessica Adams — Grant a lifelong Pike County farmer and Jessica a Haysville native — Highbanks grew out of a simple, heartfelt idea. After seeing neighbor after neighbor ask on social media, "where can I host a birthday party?" or "is there anywhere around here for a wedding?", Jessica set out to build the answer herself. The name honors Highbanks Road and the historic town of Highbanks, officially founded in 1819 and long since faded from the map, with special inspiration drawn from Robert Logan, who ran a general store there in the 1850s. That history shows up throughout the property, from the wedding package names to the room designations and décor. Today the venue's modern barn-style building, with its white siding, black metal roofing, and warm wooden accents, offers both a picturesque outdoor ceremony space and an elegant indoor hall, with ample on-site parking for guests. It's a place built for weddings, birthday parties, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations of every kind, all guided by a simple mission: to create a place where meaningful moments are celebrated with intention, and every guest is known and valued. Songbird DJ is already proud to call Highbanks a new favorite: our own Eddie and Arlene had the honor of serving as DJ and MC for Austin and Maddie Gere's wedding there on August 15, 2026, and it was an absolutely great party!
